Heartland Keep - the name is from our days in the Society for Creative Anachronism and it was named by our group of friends. Heartland because we are in Illinois, and a Keep is a small castle.
Overlooking the Illinois River near Peoria Illinois, our property is home to owls, hawks, deer, wild turkey and other friends that come to visit and stay awhile.
We fell in love with the land the first time we saw it, with towering oak trees, sharp sandy bluff ravines, rolling meadows 
and spectacular views that change with the seasons.
This is a site for family and friends to connect, share and keep in touch.
